We looked at our eggs again today. We noted that the egg got a little bigger after soaking it in the vinegar. The enlarging of the egg happened because some of the water from the vinegar traveled through the egg's outer and inner semipermeable membrane ( A semipermeable membrane is a membrane that allows certain types of molecules to pass through nut blocks others.) This process is called osmosis. Osmosis equalizes the concentration of water on both sides of the membrane.

To illustrate this even better, we now have our eggs soaking in corn syrup. On Tuesday, you will see what happens.

This afternoon, Megan recited I Know a Creepy House.

After Megan's performance, we read If I Ran the Zoo.

Have a safe and fun weekend. See you on Day 45!
