Day 32

We combined Language and Mathematics this morning. We made a flower for the letter /Ff/, but on the petals; we expressed the number 6 (/Ff/ is the 6th letter of the alphabet) in 6 different ways.

We expressed the number 6 in tally marks, a 10-frame, by a word, by a number of items, in an addition sentence, and in a subtraction sentence.

Then the students completed a cut and paste flower for themselves.

We had 4 successful rotations and then read Piggies in the Pumpkin Patch.

After recess, the students thought up words that begin with the letter /Ff/.

Then, to celebrate the first day of October, we read Please Try to Remember the First of Octember.

NOTE: Students received a new behaviour calendar today and remember that Friday is Silly Sock Day!

Day 33 is coming!
