Students were introduced to odd and even numbers on Monday and now students get to use that new knowledge during center time.

During a reading of The Plump and Perky Turkey, students cut out the pieces for their own perky turkeys. They traced their hands to make the feathers and glued it altogether.

We used our Language Notebooks today and made two lists of opposites.

After successfully answering all the subtraction problems in 3 seconds or less, Alexis completed the level and received a certificate and a Brag Tag!

Today, we had a presentation from Miss Kim from Bay Area Smiles, a pediatric dentist office in the Clearwater area.

Miss Kim demonstrated how the students should be correctly brushing their teeth. 

She talked to the students about good and bad foods to eat.

Miss Kim showed x-rays.

The audience was large and well behaved.

And the students received a gift at the end of the presentation.

We started working with opposites today. The students came up with 32 pairs of opposites and then we used those opposites in the poem.
