Day 27

It was /Gg/ day, so that meant there was a poster and a project to make!

The students came up with 45 soft and hard /Gg/ words and...

...made grasshoppers.

After the project, we read Leaves. Bear is new to the world and experiences Autumn for the first time. As the leaves begin to fall, he is concerned about the leaves and asks them if they are alright. He even tries to put the leaves back on the trees.

We had 2 very successful Daily 5 rotations and the students began to choose the location, where they were going to work.

During the rotations, I had students at the conference table, while others Read to Self, completed Word and Math Works, and others yet were on the computers and tablets.

Lilliana and Izabella worked on 10-frame assignments.

After recess, the students worked on 10 Ways to Make 9 with the help of Katie Kangaroo,

took a "penguin waddle" Brain Break, read Red Leaf, Yellow Leaf by Lois Ehlert,

and finally, Anthony and Liliana retold Leaves.

See you back on Day 28!
