Let's face it, whenever the students are anticipating time off from school for a holiday, they are excited and often they allow themselves to "slip" when it comes to behaviour. To help in that area, I let the students know that if they were on blue or purple through Tuesday through Thursday they would earn a pizza lunch on Friday.
They were excited and immediately made a pact to work together and help each other reach that goal.
After their impromptu cheering session, we read The Great Turkey Race.
We had 3 great rotations.
Anthony and Megan worked, on skip counting and regrouping, at the conference table.
Izabella read to herself.
Taniya built words with magnetic letters and and then worked on beginning and ending sounds at the conference table.
Nora worked on Word Wall Words.
After recess, we created Word Wall Word sentences.
Day 67 is up next and there are only 3 mores days until the Thanksgiving Break!
