Day 60

Monday means that first thing in the morning we work on a 100-chart. Today's 100-chart was a nice red apple, in honour of reading Apple-Picking Day.

Next we completed our calendar, place value, coin count, as well as odd and even. Then students were introduced to a new poem called Little Seed.

We rotated and rotated and rotated again :-)

After lunch, during our reading of Creature Department, we discussed dim sum. Leslie's grandpa is the the owner of Famous Freddy's Dim Sum Emporium.

The students viewed 2 interesting dim sum You Tube videos.

We made words at the end of the day. We worked with the long /a/ sound using the -ake and ale word families.
