Our rotations were stellar today. Students Read to Self, worked on the computer, completed Word Work activities, and met at the conference table.
Dakota, Liliana, and Nora reviewed and practiced patterns.
Tyler, Izabella, and Taniya did Word Work.
First graders worked with their Spelling words; on the computer, as well as on the whiteboard and stamping them on paper.
After recess, the students watch a short slide presentation with an audio reading of Hansel and Gretel. This version was different than the book we read earlier in the day, but the students really enjoyed it.
Lastly, we played a little word making game using CVC (consonant-vowel-consonant). Anthony was the /Aa/ and the other 11 students were the various consonants.
