There was a lot of learning going on in the classroom!
This morning, we began with our calendar and then moved onto mapping skills and cardinal directions.
We read and learned more about directions, types of maps, and we practiced the words; cartographer and topographical :-)
As a group, the students took turns completing Color by Directions.

Then it was time for the students to complete the same activity on their own.

We had 2 successful rotations.
After lunch, while we were reading Stuart Little, it was wonderful to see the students point in the correct direction when we got to the portion of the book when Stuart was manning the helm of the Wasp. The book uses all the cardinal directions.
Recess came and went and the students came up with 7 more sentences for the Word Wall Words and then they marched as they spelled each word.
