This morning, we continued our study of weather and read
All the Colors of the Rainbow. This book is tiny, but packed with information about the formation of rainbows, the history of prisms, and Sir Isaac Newton.
(Remember to check out the Classroom Bookshelf, on the left sidebar, to see everything we read!)
The students got to feel and look through a 6" glass prism.
Look at some of their faces! Priceless!

We finished the day with The Bippolo Seed, a story by Dr. Seuss.
|
The young duck, McKluck, and his friend, the cat, discuss what to do with the magical wish-granting Bippolo Seed. Unfortunately, the couple gets too greedy with a disastrous finish to the story. |
Check back tomorrow to share more of our fun.
