After students begin recognizing specific letters of the alphabet, it's time to work on beginning sounds. One of the best ways to have fun while learning beginning or reinforcing beginning sounds is to sort. Throughout the week we have been sorting during our morning meeting time.
In these pictures, the students are placing picture cards in the correct column under the letter representing the beginning sound.
