First thing this morning, Tyler received a XtraMath certificate for completing all his addition facts in less than 3 seconds. On to subtraction for Tyler!!!!
It's Columbus Day!
The students were introduced to Christopher Columbus via this classic video and...
...then we followed the video with a reading of two books about Christopher Columbus.
The students completed their first 100-chart today. And what better way to begin than with one of Columbus' ships.
Our class did sooooooo good on this 100-chart! They really concentrated and followed directions!
The students were introduced to geoboards, rubber bands, and pattern cards which are available to students for use during their Math Work rotation.
After recess, we worked on our CVC words using the -it and -in word families.
And finally, we watched the students performing The Little Old Lady Who Was Not Afraid of Anything (again) :-)
