We started the day with our new Word Wall Words and our calendar.
Before rotations, we read Marco Comes Late, one of the stories, from a new Dr. Seuss book entitled Horton and the Kwuggerbug and More Lost Stories. Ted Geisel (aka Dr. Seuss) published a series of short stories in magazines in the 1950s. The stories contained in this new book are from Redbook magazine.
During our rotations, Liliana read to me and she completed the Bear reader. Congratulations! Her next book is Balloons!
After 3 lengthy rotations the students needed a little Brain Break. We played a spirited game of North, South, East, and West.
After recess the students came up with this week's sentences for the Word Wall Words.
Then we finished the day with 2 pumpkin books; I Like Pumpkins and The Biggest Pumpkin Ever.
