Tuesday was Day 135. We began with Making Words.
Our final word was oranges!
To recognize St. Patrick's Day we read That's What Leprechauns Do by Eve Bunting.
We completed Calendar and Spiral Math.
During rotations, there was a lot of reading going on :-)
After lunch, the students had a treat from Nathan's grandmother -- beautiful mini cupcakes -- all decorated for St. Patty's Day.
Yesterday, we finished The Wonderful Wizard of Oz so today we started yet another classic The Phantom Tollbooth.
We started the book with a discussion about tollbooths--then and now.
And the students were introduced to the main character, Milo.
