Word Wall Baseball
This morning, students had a spirited game of Word Wall Baseball. Students were "pitched" a word and if they recognized it they took a base and just like major league baseball; 3 outs changed the inning.
Joshua's team took the game with a score of 20 to 3. Congratulation to Team Joshua!

A Teacher's Thrill
There are few things that make a teacher happier than students that are happy to learn and show that love of learning by reading and writing! When this expression is self initiated a teacher is thrilled.
This afternoon, Desiree, a kindergarten student, showed her love of learning in the form of a note to a classmate. She used the resources in the classroom (word wall and calendar) and her knowledge of the sounds that letters represent to write this note.

We started with I have a toy. And ended with a fabulous sentence telling what kind of toy it is, where it is located, where it is used, and when it is used.
