Butterflies are sometimes orange with black spots, but they could be lots of different colors. They are big or small. Their skin is green. They have blue sparkling eyes. I think that they are very pretty. They fly through the air, using their wings. They sleep upside down at night. They have very good eyesight. I like them because they are pretty when they fly through the air.

Butterflies are colorful and can be green, blue, or other colors. They have big wings that let them fly. They can be big or small. Butterflies are pretty like flowers. You usually find them outside in gardens. I like butterflies because I like the way they flutter by in the air.

The Invention
Uncle Archie needed Leslie and Elliot to help with an invention at DENKi 3000. The invention they came up with was better than Transmints and the electric pencil sharpener with retractable lens. They invented a big monster who lived in DENKi 3000 with all the other monsters and Jean-Remy. Leslie and Elliot were helping out. The made Philippe, the monster, to keep people happy and laughing. Philippe was invented to tell jokes. He was give a job at Famous Freddy's and he entertained the people in the restaurant.

They invented a green monster that Elliot and Leslie tested out in the woods. Jean-Remy said that the invention was crazy and didn't understand how they made it. Uncle Archie said that it was simple. Leslie explained how they made it. She said they used metal, nails, and Famous Freddy's pork dumplings. Uncle Archie guessed that the monster would save DENKi 3000. Jean-Remy said that it was wonderful seeing them all smile.

Reminder
There are no Spelling tests on Friday, April 18, 2014, however Kindergarten does have Spelling words and sentences to write for homework.
Spelling tests will resume the following week.
Reminder
First Graders will receive their parts for the Shakespeare Festival on Monday.
Students will need to study and memorize their parts with their homework. Their homework load will be lighten, but they will be graded on the memorization process and will be quizzed each week.
Each student will need to have their part memorized by Monday, April 28, 2014.
The Shakespeare Festival will be held at 4 PM on Thursday, May 1, 2014 and Friday, May 2, 2014.
Writing Wednesday - The Leftover Egg
All the Easter eggs were used, but as I moved the green, plastic, grass in the basket, I found a rainbow colored egg hiding. As I reached for the egg it cracked and a teeny baby chick hatched from the rainbow egg. I named it Jessica. I took it inside to feed it. Then I took the chick to the pet store to get Jessica a cage. When we got home Jessica ran straight to her egg. I thought that Jessica liked the egg better than the cage. So she would be cozy at night, I put a little pink blanket in the rainbow egg. Then she snuggled up and fell asleep.

I loved the lovely colors of the wrapping - red, green, yellow, blue, orange, and purple. My favorite flavors for candy eggs is chocolate and vanilla. When I unwrapped the egg I saw a chocolate one and I was very happy. I loved the chocolate egg.

I gently gabbed it and saw that it was a very pretty egg in a rainbow sort of way. Taking it home, I put it on my bed. The egg hatched and a yellow, baby chick came out. I asked if I could keep it. I put it in a pink blanket. My mom liked it very much, so I kept it and loved it very much.

Springtime
Spring is a lovely time of the year. The weather gets warmer all the pretty flowers bloom. I like to walk down the path by my house and look at the pretty pink butterflies while listening to the baby birds tweet. I like the tweeting they make, up in the apple trees. The baby birds like me and I like them.

Spring is a lovely time of year. The weather gets warmer and all the pretty flowers bloom. I like to walk down the path by my house thinking about planting more flowers. I will go to work at the flower store to get more money to buy little, brown pots. The daisies and sunflowers will go in the pots. Then the flowerpots will be put on my porch. I will enjoy the pretty flowers while I sit in my chair and watch them bloom.
